Detail description of the assignment

ECSOC has been implementing SUCCESS project, which is being funded by the European Union (EU), to develop a proactive, dependable, and vibrant civil society sector that significantly contributes to the political, economic, and social advancement of the nation. As part of this project, ECSOC has contracted with Anchor to conduct a baseline study, which entails gathering data on the baseline situation of the project result indicators that serve as a benchmark to measure the project progress, monitor, and evaluate the success of project delivery against targets. On this assignment, Anchor has accomplished the following activities:

  • Reviewed secondary documents including project documents (proposals, log frame, and detail workplan)

  • Developed baseline study tools including a questionnaire, and qualitative checklist for key informant interviews and focus group discussions.

  • Prepared and submitted an inception report that included a detailed explanation of the

  • methodology and instruments used to gather the data, research questions, and a comprehensive work plan for the entire assignment.

  • Recruited and trained data collectors using the bassline study tools.

  • Conducted the baseline study tools as per the agreed inception report- collected data using the agreed data collection tools entered data into the SPSS database, cleaned the SPSS dataset, and prepared a draft report of the baseline study.

  • Submitted the draft baseline report and expected ECSOC's feedback on the draft report, which will be incorporated into the final version of the report.

  • The validation workshop was led by Anchor, who also presented the baseline study's findings, and the discussion on the workshop focused on how ECSCO would implement the recommendations during the current project's lifecycle and/or in future endeavours.

  • Participants in the validation workshop provided feedback on the findings that would be considered in the final report. In response to the feedback, Anchor revised the draft report and resubmitted the final report along with all final deliverables, such as:

    • Final evaluation report in word and pdf format and printed hard copy.

    • Final PPt. used in the validation workshop.

    • Cleaned raw data sets from the evaluation including both qualitative and quantitative data.
